Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift resource pool/float position in Wisconsin. Requires at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and NIHSS certification.

Active WI license, BLS, NIHSS, and a valid driver’s license are required. Preference for candidates with travel contract experience and the ability to work across regional campuses on a 12-hour night schedule.

• Comfort in neuro and surgical patient care on a Med/Surg unit

• One supervisory reference required at time of consideration

Responsibilities

• Float/resource pool position covering regional campuses within the same discipline
• Cares for neuro and surgical patients in a medical-surgical unit
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR as part of care delivery
• Collaborates within an interdisciplinary care team
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• May be required to work 1–2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Candidates must have a taxable address outside 50 miles from the facility; Madison residents may be considered with rate reduction
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may be excluded
