Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Registered Nurse for a night shift contract in Maryland. The ideal candidate holds an MD or compact RN license and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS to care for adult and geriatric patients on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit.

The role features a 3x12 hour night schedule, 1:5–6 patient ratio, and includes housing allowances, travel and licensure reimbursements, and non-taxed per diem. On-site work with comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Maryland state or compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 30-bed Med/Surg unit.
• Night shift 3x12 hours (20:00–08:30) with 1:5–6 patient ratio.
• Floating within the specialty as needed; no on-call.
• Provide direct Medical-Surgical nursing care and maintain Navy scrub color.
• Holiday coverage as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit with 30 beds and an average daily census of 28
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (20:00-08:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within specialty
• No on-call responsibilities
• Provide direct medical surgical nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population
• Navy scrub color required
• Holiday coverage required as holidays fall per schedule
