Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment in Alabama, requiring Cerner EMR experience and at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience.

Position is 13 weeks long with a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM schedule. Active RN license (AL or Compact) and current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS are required, with travel housing and licensure support provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (AL or Compact) required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• ACLS may be pending if obtained prior to start.
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Uses Cerner EMR system.
• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit during night shifts.
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week.
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
