Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment in Oklahoma. A compact or OK RN license and at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience are required.

You will work 3x12-hour nights (18:45-07:15), totaling 36 hours per week with weekend shifts. Travel-friendly benefits include housing allowances and travel reimbursements, while floating to similar units is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Active OK or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Experience with wound care and wound vac management preferred

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45-07:15)
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating required to similar units within scope as needed based on facility needs
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care including IV therapy, respiratory support, and cardiac monitoring
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Former perm staff must have separated from employment at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Brief onsite orientation provided for floating assignments
