Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift in Texas. The ideal candidate has a TX or compact RN license, 2+ years of RN experience, and a current BLS certification. NIHSS certification is a plus, and travel nursing experience is required.

The role features night shifts (4x12 hours), floating to other Med/Surg/Tele units, and a strict onsite drug screen. Housing assistance and travel reimbursements are available for eligible travelers.

Qualifications

• Active RN license TX or compact.
• Current BLS certification required; NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg/Tele unit of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 18:45-7:15) with straight 48s or 36/48 alternating options
• Floating required to other med/surg/tele units as assigned
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid CBD products and other substances that could result in a positive drug screen after clearance
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
