Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift hospital assignment requiring MT or compact RN licensure and at least one year of specialty experience.

Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week) with Epic charting and potential to float within scope. Travel benefits and on-call duties may apply; Intermountain staff separation rule applies.

Qualifications

• Active RN license MT state or compact required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association not expiring prior to start.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week).
• Uses Epic for charting.
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
