Responsibilities

• Care for general surgical and ortho patients in a 29-bed unit (4T MS).
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5–6 on day shifts (7:00–19:00).
• Float to med/surg, telemetry, and PCU/stepdown per needs.
• Use Meditech EMR for charting and documentation.
• Adhere to hospital policy on float rotations and orientation.

Responsibilities

• General surgical and ortho unit (4T MS) with 29 beds and medical overflow
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• Weekday schedule with every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Float to other med/surg, telemetry, and PCU/stepdown units as needed
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Care for general surgical, ortho, and medical overflow patients with high floating expectations across the hospital
• Floating occurs in rotation with staff in accordance with hospital policy, including orientation to new units
• Scrubs not provided; royal blue/white scrub color required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Facility will not accept candidates with license or background issues
• Returning staff must have been away for at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure
• First-time travelers are accepted
• RTO must be approved prior to assignment start, with minimal to no time off requested, especially during the first few weeks
