Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry and respiratory care.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN House Supervisor with OB and ER/Med Surg cross-coverage capability and required NRP certification for a rotating day/night shift assignment.

Details

House Supervisor role covering ER, Med Surg, and OB/delivery units
Rotating 3x12 Day/Night schedule (0700-1930 or 1900-0730)
Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation required
Must be able to serve as baby nurse for deliveries when needed
Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

Active Minnesota RN license required (in hand or proof of application at time of consideration)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
OB experience required
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC or CALS, and NRP (NRP may be pending and obtained during compliance)
Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line management, and blood product administration
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry
Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, and chest tubes
Experience in MS/Tele, ortho trauma, and renal failure patient populations
Must complete Livescan fingerprinting in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date

Additional Information

Responsible for supervising unit operations and managing patient care across ER, Med Surg, and OB as needed
Attend deliveries and provide resuscitation support for OB births
Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
Must reside at least 25 miles from the facility; local travelers not accepted
Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of consideration
Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
First-time travelers may be considered with appropriate experience
