Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift in Plymouth, MN. The role requires MN RN licensure, active certifications, and charge nurse capability. 13-week travel assignment with a 3x12 hour night schedule and weekends only, start ASAP.

Expect 1:4 patient ratio, no on-call, Epic charting, and a strong ED background. Nurses must reside within 100 miles and provide required documents for consideration.

Qualifications

• Active MN RN license required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Minimum 2 years ED experience.
• Strong ED experience with charge nurse capability.
• Conscious sedation and triage experience.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Documents: date of birth, SSN, copies of certs, Nursys verification, and RTO.
• Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and urgent care to diverse patient populations including trauma, cardiac, pediatric, and neurological cases.
• Skill set includes cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG interpretation and IV therapy.
• Charting and documentation in Epic; ensure patient safety during night shifts.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift, weekends-only position requiring charge nurse capability and MN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department/Urgent Care setting treating both adult and pediatric patients
• Combined General Emergency Department with 17 total staffed beds
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), weekends only
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside the hospital, though floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may occur
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrub color required
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) during the assignment
• Candidates must be gone at least 3 months from any prior staff or per diem role before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Fingerprinting is required as part of Minnesota state compliance and must be completed promptly, as start dates depend on receiving results
