Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily technical operations of the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab and manage complex scheduling.
  • Provide leadership support to two direct-report supervisors and coordinate with the department Director.
  • Collaborate with vendors, traffic flow coordinators, charge nurses, and clinical teams.
  • Foster strong physician relationships and maintain proactive communication with the Medical Director.
  • Support staff recruiting, retention strategies, and ongoing education initiatives.
  • Manage data reporting, tracking, and interpretation, as well as staff competency files.

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Invasive Technical Operations Manager (EP) to lead a high‑acuity Cardiac Cath/EP Lab, requiring prior EP lab and leadership experience.

Details
  • Level I Trauma teaching hospital with Magnet designation, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center
  • Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory with 4 EP labs (Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri) and 3 EP labs (Wed)
  • Adult EP patient population including Electrophysiology Studies (EPS), Catheter Ablations (PFA, Radiofrequency, Cryoablation), and Watchman procedures
  • Implantable device cases including pacemakers, defibrillators, BIV devices, leadless devices (Micra, Aveir), and lead extractions
  • Role is approximately 90% administrative with occasional hands‑on lab support as needed
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, arriving by 0830 with occasional late stays
  • Occasional weekend rounding on staff required
  • No holiday coverage required
  • No floating required
  • Uses Epic EMR, Cardio Lab hemodynamic system, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors and PACS, and Philips/GE/Siemens X‑ray equipment
Requirements
  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) or EP Tech certification required
  • RN: BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • EP Tech: BLS and ACLS required, plus ARRT‑R or equivalent, or RCIS (RCES preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of high‑acuity EP lab experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of assistant manager, manager, or director experience required, preferably in EP Lab but other department leadership experience accepted
  • Minimum 12 months of core work experience in EP lab specialty, with most recent experience within the last year
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
  • At least one professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
  • Oversee daily technical operations of the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab, managing complex scheduling and diverse staff dynamics
  • Provide leadership support and mentorship to two direct‑report supervisors and coordinate with the department Director
  • Collaborate with vendors, traffic flow coordinators, charge nurses, VAD team, RT, ECMO team, and Code team
  • Foster strong physician relationships and maintain proactive communication with the Medical Director
  • Support staff recruiting, retention strategies, and ongoing education initiatives
  • Manage data reporting, tracking, and interpretation, as well as staff competency files
  • Requires flexibility to adapt to daily workflow changes and occasional coverage needs
  • At least 2 weeks of orientation required, working alongside the Director
  • RTO requests subject to manager approval
  • Hospital‑provided scrubs and free parking included

Pay

  • $3,473/wk
  • Assignment Total (13 Weeks): $45,149
  • Annual Equivalent (52 Weeks): $180,596
  • Weekly Wages: $2,080/wk
  • Regular Hours: $52.00 x 40 hours/wk = $2,080
  • Weekly Stipends: $1,393/wk
  • Lodging: $131.00 x 7 days = $917
  • Meals & Incidentals: $68.00 x 7 days = $476
  • In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $3,288 - $3,473. The $3,473 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax‑free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer‑paid taxes and related costs.
