American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position requiring 2+ years of EP experience in a busy, academic teaching hospital setting.

Details

Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab and Hybrid OR of an academic teaching hospital
Day shift schedule (4x10 hours), 7:00am-5:30pm, various days of the week
No float requirements between units
On-call responsibilities include 2 call days per week plus holiday shift call
No weekend requirements currently, though this may change based on staffing needs
EPIC charting system used
Scrubs provided
Responsibilities include preparing the procedural environment, assessing patients, reviewing safety checklists, and monitoring patients during cardiac electrical impulse procedures

Requirements

Active RN license (Colorado or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
CCI RCES certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of EP experience required, with academic EP experience preferred
Teaching hospital experience required
Trauma Level II experience required
GE Healthcare charting system experience required
Skilled in EP procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, and LAA closure
Proficient in ACT monitoring, End‑Tidal CO2 monitoring, vascular closure systems, and radiation/laser safety
Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring, IV therapy, and emergency medications

Additional Information

First-time travelers will be considered if they have more than 2 years of experience in a busy EP Lab
Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates must disclose this information for eligibility review
Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods restricting RTO during certain weeks
Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted
Completion of facility‑specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
