Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery/Women\'s Services with charge experience and multiple specialty certifications. The role covers a 12-bed unit with LDR, Antepartum and Postpartum/Gyn/Peds beds, requiring 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts and no on-call duties.

The candidate must hold an NC RN license (compact allowed), current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/STABLE/AWHONN fetal monitoring certs, and have 2+ years of charge experience (3+ preferred).

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina (Standard or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with charge experience required
• 3 years of experience with charge experience preferred
• Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Peds, Gyn, and Antepartum experience required

Responsibilities

• 12-bed Women\'s Services unit with LDR, Triage, Antepartum, and Postpartum/Gyn/Peds beds
• Cares for maternal, newborn, adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
• Patient ratios based on acuity
• Uses Philips fetal monitors with OB TraceVue
• Charts in MediTech EHR
• 12-hour shifts from 7a-7p, 36 hours per week
• Works every 3rd weekend
• No call requirements
• Floating required
• Provide nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Antepartum, Peds, and Gyn services
• Work under the direction of the Director of The Birthing Place
• Follow HR policy on professional dress code with no required scrub color
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
