Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Travel RN for a Labor & Delivery/OB-GYN night shift assignment in Michigan. An active MI RN license and 2+ years of LDRP experience are required. STABLE, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications are preferred.

Shifts are 12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with a 36-hour workweek. The assignment runs for 14 weeks with 1 opening; candidates outside a 50-mile radius will be considered.

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required and in-hand at time of profile upload.
• 2+ years of OB/GYN/LDRP experience required.
• Proficiency in LDRP care including labor, triage, delivery, and postpartum care.
• STABLE, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Dysrhythmia test must be passed prior to floor work.
• References from two supervisors within last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate labor, delivery, and newborn care to mothers and families.
• Support fathers and other care persons throughout maternity and delivery.
• Follow facility dress code and complete orientation.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/OB-GYN night shift position requiring an active MI license and 2+ years of LDRP experience.

Details

• Family Birth Place unit within a hospital setting
• LDRP care including Labor, Triage, Delivery, Circulating, C-Sections, Newborn Care, and Postpartum Couplet Care
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work week runs Saturday through Friday
• Every third weekend required, with holiday coverage as scheduled or needed
• No scheduled on-call, though voluntary time off due to low census may require on-call availability

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required and must be in-hand at time of profile upload (compact license not accepted)
• 2+ years of OB/GYN experience required
• High proficiency in LDRP care including Labor, Triage, Delivery, Circulating, C-Sections, Newborn Care, and Postpartum Couplet Care required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Active BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
• Active NRP certification required
• Active AWHONN certification required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to OB/GYN required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required

Additional Information

• Provide compassionate labor, delivery, and recovery care to new mothers and families in a home-like maternity setting
• Support and involve fathers or other support persons throughout the maternity and delivery experience
• Facility-provided scrubs required as part of dress code
• 8-hour non-billable orientation provided
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Permanent address must be included in profile
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, and all RTO must be submitted at time of profile upload
• Scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission, as requests made after an offer may lead to a rescinded offer
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
