Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an OB/GYN Labor & Delivery assignment in California. CA RN license and Epic EMR experience required; travel nursing experience preferred.

This role features a day shift, Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in a hospital setting with high-risk OB and general OB/GYN cases. You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, collect specimens, and provide teaching while ensuring compliance with staff requirements.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license in-hand at time of application (EMS A not accepted).
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• Minimum 1 year in OB/GYN specialty within the past two years.
• Epic EMR must be listed in work history.
• Two supervisor references required.
• Prior travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in OB/GYN Women's Health department in a hospital.
• Day shift, Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Care for high-risk OB and general OB/GYN patients.
• Perform patient assessment, medication administration, specimen collection, and patient teaching.
• Monitor vital signs, Foley catheter management, and glucose/urine testing as needed.
• Willingness to proceed without guaranteed manager interview.
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to be eligible as traveler.
• Local candidates welcomed at traveler pay rate.
• No vacation requests in first two weeks of the assignment.
• Max 7 days off per 13-week contract preferred.

• Must be willing to proceed without a guaranteed manager interview

• No requested time off permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract is highly preferred
