Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics in California. Requires CA RN license, BLS, and OB certifications with EPIC EMR experience. Night shift options available and local travel allowances.

Minimum 2 years of specialty obstetric experience preferred; BSN preferred. Comprehensive benefits and housing/travel support provided.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required.
• BLS certification required from an approved vendor.
• AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification required.
• S.T.A.B.L.E certification required.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required.
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience with recent experience within the last 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned OB patients using the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines.
• Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnosis and care plans.
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe healing environment.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and humane care.
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning.
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members.
• Night shift with 36 or 48 hour weekly options (7:00 PM–7:30 AM).
• Floating to Bakersfield as needed.

• Night shift schedule with 36 or 48 hour weekly options, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Floating to Bakersfield required as needed
• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients using established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient data to determine diagnosis and care plans
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe healing environment
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and humane care

• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule, and local pay rates match travel rates
