Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Antepartum position in Texas. Requires 2+ years in high-risk L&D/Antepartum and intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification. Travel-friendly role with 13-week assignment and night shift 7P-7A.

Candidate must hold an active TX license or compact, BLS, NRP; ACLS/RNC preferred. Responsibilities include caring for high-risk obstetric patients, charting in Meditech/CPIN, 1:5 ratio, and floating as needed. Housing allowance provided.

Qualifications

• Active TX RN license or compact license required (temporary license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery or Antepartum experience
• Current BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications required
• ACLS and RNC certifications preferred
• Experience managing magnesium sulfate and preterm labor required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• Antepartum unit within a newly renovated Women's Services department, 19 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 7P-7A, 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating as needed to fill vacancies
• Charting via Meditech and CPIN (Meditech experience preferred)
• Provide specialized care for high-risk obstetric and antepartum patients, including magnesium sulfate and preterm labor management
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Blue insignia scrubs required for RNs
• Strict grooming and appearance standards including nail, hair, tattoo, and piercing policies
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Holiday coverage requirements to be discussed during interview
