Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery registered nurse for a rapid-start travel assignment near Washington, DC.

The role includes caring for maternity patients from early pregnancy through delivery on a 3x12 hour day shift schedule. Requirements include an active DC RN license, BLS/ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM, 2+ years L&D experience, Cerner EMR, and successful completion of a national background screen within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Active DC RN license (no pending licenses)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• NRP certification
• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification
• Minimum 2 years L&D experience in a US hospital
• Cerner EMR experience
• National background screen (OIG, EPLS, NSO) within 90 days
• Flu and COVID vaccination or declination form
• Current license verification through Nursys and Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit care for females from 17 weeks gestation through delivery
• Admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, triage, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section)
• Scheduled procedures include C-sections and external cephalic versions
• Use fetal monitors with Cerner and Fetalink documentation
• Day shift schedule with 3x12hr shifts
• 9-week assignment length
• Provide direct patient care across labor and delivery continuum including triage, admissions, labor support, and post-delivery care
• Rapid start position with availability to begin within 7 days of offer
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
