Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery role with high-risk OB expertise and Epic proficiency. California RN license, BLS/NRP, and acute L&D experience are required.

The position involves 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), 36 hours/week over a 12-week assignment, and uses the Epic EMR system. Travel and local candidates are welcome, with a generous benefits package and housing support.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 1 year of recent full-time L&D experience within the last 3 years
• 5+ years of recent Labor and Delivery experience within the last 2 years preferred
• 1 year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last 2 years preferred
• High-risk OB experience preferred
• BSN or related degree preferred
• Licenses and certifications must be active at time of consideration

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week over a 12-week assignment
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients including high-risk OB cases
