Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with a CA license for a 13-week travel assignment in California. You will work in the Labor and Delivery unit, delivering care to mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods on a day shift from 07:00 to 19:30.

Required qualifications include a CA RN license, minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross), and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification; DOB and SSN are required for

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Active California RN license required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit within the Birthplace.
• Provide care to mothers and newborns during antepartum and postpartum periods.
• Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching activities.
• Guide and oversee activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining unit standards of care.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilize chain of command as needed to ensure patient well-being.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel positions.
