American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment in Yakima, WA. Candidates must have at least 2 years of ICU experience and a history of travel nursing prior to this assignment.

The role requires WA license, BLS and ACLS, and the ability to manage neuro/spine and vascular post-procedure cases. Shifts are 12 hours, with a 36-hour work week and every other weekend rotation. The hospital is a 226-bed non-profit facility with ACU/CCU units.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ACU/CCU unit of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital with 20 ACU beds and 11 CCU beds.
• Patient population includes neuro/spine, pressors, BiPAP requiring high FiO2, and potential ICU-level transitions.
• Typical patient ratio is 2:1, sometimes 1:1 depending on acuity.
• 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730 or 0700-1930), 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend rotation required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Floating required to ICU level or below throughout the hospital.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Provide ICU-level nursing care across varied patient populations including neuro/spine and vascular post-procedure cases.
• Professional attire required; any scrub color accepted.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role.

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Experience with chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, femoral arterial sheath monitoring, DKA, BiPAP, High Flow, post-TCAR, femoral endarterectomy, and art lines required
• Impella and/or IABP experience preferred, with competency verification required on assignment
