American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment in Wisconsin. The role requires an active WI or compact RN license plus BLS/ACLS and proven acute care experience in mixed ICU/PCU units.

The position features 3x12-hour day shifts, weekend rotations, standby and floating responsibilities, and a 48-hour option for additional weekends. Vaccination is mandatory; drivers must reside within 50 miles of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active WI RN license or compact license required (must be current).
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years RN med/surg/PCU acute care experience required.
• 2 years acute care experience within last 3 years for inpatient travelers.
• First-time travelers must have >5 years RN experience.
• Telemetry exam passage required before assignment start.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• 1 year recent PCU or ICU experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Care for ICU/PCU patients with varying acuity.
• Use Cerner EMR for charting and documentation.
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 06:30 to 19:00.
• Weekend rotation and every other holiday.
• Standby call as needed; floating as required.
• 48-hour weekly contract available for extra weekends.
• Provide direct patient care and monitor complex conditions.
• Free onsite parking.
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN requiring WI or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS, and proven acute care experience to care for mixed ICU/PCU patients.

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU required
• Inpatient RN travelers must have 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• First-time travelers must have more than 5 years of RN experience
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to assignment start
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• 1 year of recent PCU or ICU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• ICU unit caring for all acuity types including occasional ICU/PCU patients and varying patient ratios
• Cerner EMR used for charting
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 0630-1900
• Weekend rotation and every other holiday required
• Standby call as needed
• Floating required as needed
• 48-hour weekly contract available for those willing to work additional weekends
• Provide direct patient care for ICU and PCU patients requiring close monitoring and management of complex conditions
• Free onsite parking available
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• Candidates can only be submitted to one position at a time
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
• Prior UW staff must be separated from the facility for 18 months before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers considered only with strong experience and more than 5 years as an RN
