Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Critical Care Step-Down RN for a day shift travel assignment in Virginia. Requires 2+ years ICU experience and Epic proficiency; active RN license (VA or Compact), BLS and ACLS, no major gaps, SSN required.

The 4-bed unit treats mostly adult and teen populations with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Shifts are 3x12 from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with every other weekend and holiday. Potential float to a Med Surg unit; navy blue scrubs are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license VA or Compact
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
• ICU RN experience 2+ years
• Epic EMR experience required
• Critical Care/Step Down/Progressive experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within past 12 months
• US SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in a 4-bed Critical Care Step-Down unit
• Patient population includes mostly adults and teens
• Patient ratio 1:4
• Uses Epic EMR
• 3x12 day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• No on-call requirements
• May float to a 24-bed Med Surg unit with a 6:1 ratio
• Provide critical care nursing to a surge ICU/step-down population
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
