Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 9-week hospital assignment in the DC area. Requires active DC RN license, 3+ years of ICU experience, and relevant certifications. Cerner EMR experience is required.

The role includes a 3x12 schedule with AM/PM rotation, and candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility and be available to start within 7 days of offer. Graduate of an NLN-approved RN program is required; BSN is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years ICU experience
• Minimum 2 years hospital experience in ICU specialty
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Graduate of accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Two manager or supervisor references within past 12 months, with at least one from most recent employer

Responsibilities

• Multidisciplinary ICU caring for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
• 3x12 shift schedule with AM/PM rotation
• Uses advanced critical care technology including ventilators, lines, monitors, ECMO/tandem heart, BIS monitors, CRRT, and infusion pumps
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Perform a variety of patient care functions in line with licensure and regulatory requirements
• Candidates must be available to start within 7 days of offer
• Rapid start position with expedited onboarding for qualified candidates
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Flu and COVID vaccination or declination form required for consideration

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a valid DC RN license and at least 3 years of critical care experience for a 9-week hospital assignment.

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of prior hospital experience in the specialty required
• Cerner experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Responsibilities

• Multidisciplinary ICU caring for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
• 3x12 shift schedule with AM/PM rotation
• Utilizes advanced critical care technology including ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Perform a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
• Candidates must be available to start within 7 days of offer with no pushed start dates allowed
• Rapid start position with expedited onboarding available for qualified candidates
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
