Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift contract in Attleboro, MA. The ideal candidate holds an active MA RN license and has prior travel nursing experience.

Requirements include BLS and ACLS, CCRN preferred, and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience. The role involves 4x12 hour night shifts (18:45–07:15) in a 14-bed unit, with code team responsibilities and potential housing/travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring.
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a 14-bed ICU unit within a hospital setting.
• Care for medically and surgically complex patients, including ventilated and post-surgical cases.
• Keep patient-to-nurse ratio at 1:1 or 1:2.
• Serve on code team and rapid response responsibilities as part of ICU.
• Cover night shifts with NP support; day coverage by intensivists.
• Work with Cerner EMR as applicable (preferred).
• Collaborate with intensivists and NPs to provide high-level critical care.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift contract requiring prior travel experience and an active MA RN license.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• 14-bed ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes medical cases such as alcohol withdrawal, ARDS, COPD, GI bleed, drug overdose, and COVID, with occasional surgical cases (VATS, carotids, CEAs)
• Care for post-surgical and medically complex patients including those on ventilators, pressors, a-lines, and chest tubes
• Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2
• Unit serves as the code team and rapid response team for the hospital
• Intensivists provide coverage during the day, with NPs covering night shift
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Provide critical care nursing to medically and surgically complex ICU patients
• Participate in code team and rapid response responsibilities as part of the ICU team
• Work alongside intensivists during the day and NPs during night shifts
• Returning staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
