Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Travel RN for a night ICU assignment in Utah. Requires at least 2 years ICU experience, ACLS certification, and NIH Stroke certification for ICU placement. A Utah license or compact license is required to begin the assignment.

Responsibilities include caring for a 24-bed ICU unit, maintaining patient ratios, charting in EPIC, and potential floating to PCU or sitters. Travel housing reimbursement and other benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 (1:3 for PCU boarders) and 1:1 for high-acuity patients.
• Document via EPIC; perform critical care nursing tasks.
• Work straight nights or 50/50 scheduling; floating to PCU or sitters as needed.
• Complete three weekend shifts in a 4-week cycle.
• Ensure care for patients with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and support.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an ICU night shift position requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and ACLS certification.

Requirements

• Active UT or compact RN license required


• ACLS certification required


• NIH Stroke certification required for ICU placement


• 2 years of ICU experience required, though 1 year of strong experience may be considered


• Experience with rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, and arterial lines required


• Familiarity with procedures including bronchoscopy, intubation, and chest tube placement


• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration


• Professional references required (two for FL and MO, one for all other states)


• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• 24-bed ICU unit with 46 staff members


• Patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:3 for PCU boarders and 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity patients (IABP, CRRT, open hearts)


• Charting via EPIC


• Straight nights or 50/50 scheduling available


• Floating required to PCU or as a sitter anywhere in the hospital inpatient setting


• 3 weekend shifts required within a 4-week period


• Shift hours 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM


• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including those requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and support


• Best personality fit is an outgoing team player


• Dress code requires Caribbean Blue scrub attire


• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, with no local candidates accepted
