Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN for a 13-week night shift contract on a Med/Surg unit in Ohio. Requires OH or Compact RN license, 1 year ICU experience, and Stepdown float experience. BLS/ACLS/PALS certs must be current.

AllScripts charting experience preferred. First-time travelers welcome; must reside outside a 50-mile radius for travel assignment. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance from day one, 401(k), housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, and weekly

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience.
• Stepdown experience required for floating.
• Active OH or Compact RN license in-hand.

Responsibilities

• Night shift 7p–7a on a Med/Surg unit.
• Floating to ICU/Stepdown as needed.
• 13-week contract; 3 ICU beds on Med/Surg.
• Every other weekend; no on-call responsibilities.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius for travel assignment.
• First-time travelers welcome; local candidates not accepted.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift contract requiring OH or compact RN license and Stepdown float experience.

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required in-hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required prior to start (AHA certs required, RQI acceptable)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Stepdown unit experience required for floating
• AllScripts charting experience preferred
• Two recent references required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applied for

Responsibilities

• 3 ICU beds located on a Med/Surg unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7p-7a)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to ICU/Stepdown unit as needed
• Provide critical care nursing support across ICU and Stepdown as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
