Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced ICU/PCU RN for a newly opened PCU unit in Texas. The role requires a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ICU/PCU experience. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and TNCC/TCAR are required or can be obtained within 30 days.

Cerner charting experience is preferred. The position involves MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care patient care with floating as needed, day shifts 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, and a favorable benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU/PCU experience.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC/TCAR (TNCC/TCAR may be obtained within 30 days).
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Trauma Level II experience preferred.
• Experience with arterial line, central/PICC line, ventilator management, cardiac drip titration, and EVD/lumbar drain care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital ICU supporting a newly opened PCU unit.
• Care for MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care patient populations, with floating to these areas during low census.
• Patient ratios: MS/Tele 6:1, Critical Care 2:1.
• Day shift schedule: 4x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Uses Cerner charting system.
• Provide direct patient care across MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care units as needed based on census.
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted.
• RTO must be submitted for consideration.
