Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking a night-shift RN for an ICU assignment in Texas. The role requires a minimum of 2 years in critical care and active RN licensure either in TX or a multi-state compact, plus TNCC certification.

Qualifications

• Active RN license TX or Compact is required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience in critical care.
• No 90+ day gaps in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in ICU with a 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio.
• Night shift hours 7:00 PM–7:00 AM on a 13-week assignment.
• Float to HVU/PCU units as needed (1:4 ratio).
• Use MedHost EMR; transitioning to Cerner.
• Scrubs: solid color; reside >50 miles away; local candidates not considered.
• No on-call requirements; no 48-hour blocks.

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Critical care experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of start

Responsibilities

• Intensive Care Unit setting with 24 plus 2 recovery beds
• Critical care patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• No on-call requirements
• No 48-hour or block scheduling
• Float required to HVU and PCU units at a 1:4 ratio
• Uses MedHost EMR, currently transitioning to Cerner
• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients
• Scrubs must be any solid color
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Previous CHS facility perm staff employment within the past 2 years disqualifies candidates from consideration
