Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for night shifts in Kentucky. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of acute ICU RN experience and an active KY or compact RN license, plus BLS, ACLS and NIHSS.

The role requires 12-hour night shifts, three days per week (36 hours), with every-other weekend. Epic EMR experience and a focus on direct patient care, education and inter-team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Active KY or compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of acute ICU RN experience.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to ICU patients including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting with 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
• Scheduled 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly, every other weekend.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and patient families to support care goals.
• Educate patients and families throughout treatment and at discharge.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff as mentor/preceptor.
• Participate in quality, safety and process improvement initiatives.
• Comply with regulatory standards and practice governance.
