American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced ICU on a night shift rotation, requiring KY or compact licensure. The role demands current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications and at least 2 years of ICU experience, with preference for Level IV trauma exposure.

You will work in a hospital ICU across multiple populations, with a 1:2 patient ratio, using Meditech EMR and handling complex care, including vents, hemodynamic monitoring, and line management.

Qualifications

• Active KY or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AVADE preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
• 3-6 months of Level IV Trauma or above experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Care for critically ill patients in ICU across cardiovascular, medical, surgical, neuro, trauma and transplant populations.
• Patient ratio of 1:2 with care guided by Meditech EMR.
• Night shifts 19:00–07:30 on a 3x12/4x12 rotation totaling 84 hours per two weeks.
• Manage central/arterial/PICC lines, blood products and ventilators.
• Provide care for complex conditions including respiratory failure and post-surgical recovery.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with critical care expertise to join a fast-paced intensive care unit on a night shift rotation requiring KY or compact licensure.

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license in hand required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AVADE preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of current ICU experience required
• 3-6 months of Level IV Trauma or above experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, blood product administration, and ventilator management
• Experience with cardiac drip titration, continuous IV sedation, and hemodynamic monitoring (Impella, IABP, Swan Ganz)
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required, with medical and religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis
• Driver's license matching permanent address required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one Charge or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting, caring for critically ill patients across cardiovascular, medical, surgical, neuro, trauma, and transplant populations
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule rotating between 3x12 and 4x12 hour shifts (19:00-7:30), totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Provide critical care nursing to patients with complex conditions including respiratory failure, acute stroke, multisystem organ dysfunction, and post-surgical recovery
• Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered, must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Required to work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Travel pairs are accepted in limited numbers and will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Travelers returning after a prior assignment must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Middle name confirmation required for all candidates
