Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a day shift assignment with float coverage between ICU and Med-Surg units. The role requires every other weekend and uses Epic EMR.

The ideal candidate has an active RN license, at least 2 years of recent ICU experience, and is willing to travel to facilities within the health system network across Oregon. Vehicle is required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Vehicle required for this assignment.
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a Critical Access/Level III Trauma Center teaching hospital.
• ICU staffing ratio of 1:1-2 patients.
• Float to Med-Surg with ratios of 1:4-5 when needed.
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM).
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Floating between ICU and Med-Surg units, and potentially to other facilities within the health system network.
• Uses Epic EMR system.
• Provide critical care nursing services in the ICU with additional support to Med-Surg as needed based on patient census.
• Scrubs provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child units; any color accepted for other areas.
• No parking fees at this facility.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot apply within 50 miles of the facility.
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) accommodated for this assignment.
• Floating between all facilities within the state may be required, and refusal to float may result in termination of assignment.
