Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift position in a 20-bed medical ICU, requiring CRRT and IABP experience. The role requires an active RN license (KY or Compact), BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and ADN/ASN with BSN preferred.

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care, including continuous dialysis and invasive bedside procedures, on a 7p–7a schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts weekly. Local candidates within 75 miles may receive a lower pay rate.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• CRRT and IABP experience required

Responsibilities

• Care for a 20-bed medical ICU with 2:1 patient ratios
• Provide care for patients with cardiac arrest, sepsis, mechanical ventilation, stroke, and post-surgical needs
• Deliver continuous dialysis (CRRT) and support invasive bedside procedures
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3x12 (36 hours/week)
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Deliver holistic, patient- and family-centered nursing care across all phases of the nursing process
• Perform comprehensive assessments, care planning, and coordination with the interprofessional team
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges, including discharge teaching and case management coordination
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and core measures tracking
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate
