Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN in Charleston, SC. The role requires advanced intraprocedure endoscopy experience, an SC or compact RN license, and a Mon-Fri 7:00–15:30 schedule with on-call and weekend coverage as needed.

Facilities include hospital Endoscopy department responsibilities, charting with Cerner, and collaboration with physicians and staff. Travel eligibility and housing allowances may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in SC or NCSBN compact; not SC permanent resident
• Current BLS (AHA)
• ACLS required for Pain Management Clinic positions
• Graduate of accredited nursing program
• BSN highly desired
• Advanced intraprocedure endoscopy experience
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and emergency response
• Ability to lift/move patients and stand/walk/bend/reach

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to endoscopy patients per nursing process
• Work Mon-Fri, 0700-1530 (8-hour shifts) with on-call 2–3 weekdays and every 4th weekend
• Take calls and cover as needed; occasional floating to nearby hospital
• Use Cerner for charting and documentation
• Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with physicians and staff
• Potential travel to sister hospital when required
• Maintain safety and manage exposure to blood/infectious materials
• Handle stressful conditions and irregular hours as needed
• Ensure distance >50 miles from facility for eligibility
• Travel assignments limited to 1 year with 30–60 day break after
• Weekend/holiday coverage may be required per department needs

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Endoscopy unit requiring advanced intraprocedure endoscopy experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or NCSBN compact) required; must not be a permanent resident of SC
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
• ACLS required for positions in the Pain Management Clinic
• Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing
• BSN highly desired
• Advanced endoscopy intraprocedure experience required
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and emergency response skills required
• Ability to lift/move patients and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Responsibilities

• Work in the Endoscopy department of a hospital setting
• Mon-Fri schedule, 0700-1530, 8-hour shifts
• Requires taking 2-3 weekday calls and coverage every 4th weekend
• Uses Cerner for charting
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• Provide direct nursing care to endoscopy patients, applying professional nursing theory to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Collaborate closely with physicians, hospital staff, and patients' families
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials is common in this role
• May be required to work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Travel assignments limited to one calendar year from the initial start date, followed by a required 30-60 day break before returning
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required based on department needs
