Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a GI/Endoscopy RN with strong IV skills and 2 years of GI/Endoscopy experience for a hospital-based outpatient and inpatient endoscopy unit. The role features 9-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with weekends and holidays covered by on-call rotation. EPIC and EndoWorks EMR experience is used.

One week of floor orientation is provided. Compensation includes high pay, comprehensive benefits, 401(k), weekly payroll, and CEUs, with duties supporting both outpatient

Qualifications

• Active RN license in VA or Compact preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years GI/Endoscopy experience.
• Strong IV skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle 25 procedures per day in GI/Endoscopy unit (75% outpatient, 25% inpatient).
• 9-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• No floating; weekends/holidays on-call rotation.
• On-call: 10-hour Sat/Sun; self-scheduled 2-hour blocks M-F (~3–4 times weekly).
• Utilize EPIC and EndoWorks EMR systems.
• One week floor orientation provided.
• Scrub attire: navy/white tops with navy pants; navy/white jackets.

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy RN with strong IV skills and 2 years of experience for a hospital-based outpatient and inpatient endoscopy unit.

Requirements

• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of GI/Endoscopy experience required
• Strong IV skills required

Responsibilities

• Work in a GI/Endoscopy unit handling approximately 25 procedures per day, including 75% outpatient and 25% inpatient cases
• 9-hour shifts scheduled 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No floating required
• Weekends and holidays covered through the on-call rotation
• On-call responsibilities include 10-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, plus self-scheduled 2-hour blocks Monday through Friday, approximately 3-4 times per week
• Uses EPIC and EndoWorks EMR systems
• One week of floor orientation provided
• Scrub requirements: solid navy blue or white tops and navy blue pants, with solid navy blue or white jackets
