Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in Billings, MT. You will perform hands-on GI procedures and use Epic EMR to document care. Active MT or Compact license must transfer within 60 days. BLS/ACLS current.

Minimum 1 year GI/Endoscopy experience and strong aseptic technique required. Day shift, 10-hour schedule, four days per week (36 hours weekly). You may float to other Peri-Operative areas and occasionally to other nursing units within scope.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MT or Compact) required, with compact licenses to be transferred to MT within 60 days of start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required, not expiring before start date
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• Minimum 1 year of experience in GI/Endoscopy specialty required
• Must be experienced performing the technical portion of GI equipment procedures
• Epic EMR charting experience required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Endoscopy Lab providing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation
• Day shift, 10-hour schedule, 4 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• May float to other departments within the Peri-Operative umbrella and occasionally to other nursing units within scope of competency
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Collaborate with pre-operative RN to assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor and maintain aseptic technique compliance among the surgical team, initiating corrective action as needed
• Support and educate patients and families throughout the procedure process
• Serve as a resource to students and new caregivers, contributing to quality improvement initiatives
• Document equipment use and supply consumption to support accurate charging and inventory management
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
