Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring ERCP experience and on-call availability at a large trauma 1 teaching facility.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license (VT or Compact), BLS and ACLS, with at least 2 years of trauma 1, teaching hospital experience and proficiency with IV starts, H&P assessment, and post-procedure recovery.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (VT or Compact) currently in hand.
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required; AHA PALS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Recent experience in a trauma 1, large (500+ bed), teaching facility required.
• Experience starting IVs, assessing H&P information, and post-procedure recovery for conscious sedation patients required.
• Experience providing conscious sedation medication and monitoring patients in the procedure room required.
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Endoscopy unit performing numerous ERCP procedures.
• 9H rotating Day/Evening shift schedule.
• On-call requirement.
• No floating required.
• Travelers must work 2 of the 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year''s Day.
• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures including ERCPs.
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation during procedures.
• Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in the area.
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April.
• Accepts local candidates.
• Prior travel experience required.
