American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a fast-paced surgical, trauma, and stroke unit, requiring 2+ years of straight Med/Surg and Level I or II trauma experience.

Magnet Hospital offers a day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with a 13-week assignment starting Oct 5, 2026. This role includes patient care across general and vascular surgery, trauma and stroke patients, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission.
• Compact license not accepted.
• 2+ years of straight Med/Surg experience.
• Level I or II trauma experience required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• LARA and Nursys license verification required.
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Utilize the Clinical Practice Model and Caring-Quality Model for holistic, evidence-based patient care.
• Participate in an active Unit Based Council supporting shared governance and a positive team culture.
• New team members receive structured orientation and ongoing support as they grow professionally.
