American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a fast-paced surgical, trauma, and stroke unit, requiring 2+ years of straight Med/Surg and Level I or II trauma experience.

Details

• Work in a 28-bed Medical Surgical unit serving general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients
• Fast-paced, mixed-acuity environment with exposure to a diverse patient population including post-surgical cases, diverse medical conditions, traumas, strokes, and inpatient hospice
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required at time of submission
• Compact license not accepted
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• 2+ years of straight Med/Surg experience required (not float, SDU, or Tele)
• Level I or II trauma experience required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• LARA and Nursys license verification required

Additional Information

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Utilize the Clinical Practice Model and Caring-Quality Model for holistic, evidence-based patient care

• Strict attendance policy in place; absences or tardiness of 20+ minutes on 3 occasions may result in immediate termination
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers with adjusted pay rate
• Former full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of separation

• Weekly wages: $2,398/wk
• Assignment Total (13 Weeks): $31,174
• Annual Equivalent (52 Weeks): $124,696
• Weekly Stipends: $1,246/wk
• Lodging: $110.00 x 7 days = $770
• Meals & Incidentals: $68.00 x 7 days = $476
• In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,232 - $2,398. The $2,398 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
