American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a high-volume unit in Wichita, KS. This travel assignment requires 2+ years of ED nursing experience and KS or compact RN licensure, with a night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM and every-other weekend commitments.

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a high-volume unit with significant behavioral health patient exposure, requiring 2+ years of ED experience and a KS or compact RN license.

• High volume of behavioral health patients
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Required to work every other weekend

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Current PALS certification (AHA) required
• TNCC certification preferred, renewed every 4 years
• CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills or MOAB De-Escalation Course completion preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate based on facility radius rule
• Candidates should discuss assignment extension with their manager approximately 45 days before the assignment end date

The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
