American Traveler, LLC is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and a CT or compact RN license. The ideal candidate will have ED trauma experience, be proficient in triage, IV therapy, and cardiac monitoring, and be comfortable working in a busy inner-city setting.

The role features day shifts (4x12s, 0700–1930) with 36 or 48 hour schedules, every other weekend, and travel-friendly conditions.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, and TNCC.
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required, specifically in a Level I or II trauma facility.
• Level II Trauma Center experience required.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Triage, IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and blood product administration.
• Experience with neurological and CVA patient care.
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG.

Responsabilités

• Level II Trauma Center ED treating a combined adult/pediatric population.
• Inner city ED setting with a 1:4 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 0700-1930.
• 36 or 48 hour schedules accepted.
• Every other weekend coverage required.
• Uses Accudose and Omnicell medication systems.
• Documents in Cerner and communicates using SBAR.
• First time travelers accepted for this unit.
• Provide emergency care across a mixed adult and pediatric inner city patient population.
• Perform triage and manage a range of emergency presentations including cardiac and neurological cases.
• Dark blue scrubs required.
• Must reside within a 75 mile radius to be eligible for local candidacy at a lower bill rate.
