Job summary

American Traveler, LLC in Illinois is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment with EPIC charting. A minimum of three years in nursing is required, along with an active IL RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification. ASN is required and BSN is preferred.

Shifts are 12 hours from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, three days per week, with two call shifts every six weeks and on-call within one hour of the call. Night rotations occur and travel housing/benefits apply.

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing required.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
  • Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required.
  • ASN required, BSN preferred.
  • EPIC charting experience required.
  • TNCC certification highly preferred.
  • Trauma Level 2+ experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment.
  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ED setting.
  • Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and adjust care as needed.
  • Collaborate with providers, families, and the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Maintain up-to-date patient documentation.
  • Uphold patient and staff safety, reporting hazards as needed.
  • 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule; onsite within 1 hour of call.
  • 12-hour day shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, 3 days per week.
  • 2-week night rotation required for all travelers.
  • Every other weekend shift and holiday rotation.
  • Use EPIC EMR system.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring EPIC experience and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.

  • Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required

  • ASN required, BSN preferred

  • EPIC charting experience required

  • TNCC certification highly preferred

  • Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred



Responsibilities


  • Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment

  • 12-hour day shifts from 9:00AM-9:30PM, 3 days per week

  • No block scheduling available

  • Every other weekend shift requirement

  • Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and modify care based on continuous evaluation

  • Collaborate with providers, families, and the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation

  • Uphold patient and staff safety standards, reporting and correcting hazards as needed

  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract

  • Designated as a high-risk department
