Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for night shifts requiring 2 years of ER experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
Non-trauma ER within a STEMI and Stroke certified facility
Night shift, 4x12 hours (18:45-7:15) with option for 36 or 48 hours per week
Every other weekend coverage required
Epic charting system used
Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief unit orientation provided

Requirements

Active RN license (OK state or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required in hand
2 years of ER experience preferred, though candidates with less may be considered
Prior travel nursing experience required
Epic charting experience required
Skilled in emergency care across pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, cardiac, and trauma presentations
Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of critical medications such as vasopressors and sedation
Proficient in triage, EKG interpretation, splinting, and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

Provide emergency care across a broad range of conditions including cardiac events, strokes, trauma, respiratory distress, and psychiatric crises
Navy scrub color required
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
Local candidates are not accepted
Former staff members must have been separated from permanent employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none permitted during the first week of orientation
Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
