Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an ER RN for an evening/night variable shift in Oregon. Requires at least 1 year of ED experience and a compact RN license in hand. Shift details: 3x12s, 14:00-2:30 or 3x12s, 19:00-7:30, 36 hrs/week, start Sep 28, 2026, length 13 weeks.

Requires ACLS, BLS, PALS; IV therapy, phlebotomy, and possible central line care. Epic EMR experience preferred. Local travel within 50 miles may apply. No on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact must be in hand at submission).
• OR RN license required.
• At least 1–2 years of ED experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (NRP preferred).
• IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs; blood product administration (preferred).
• Central line care/management (preferred).
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Personal vehicle required for assignment.
• 2 references covering 1 year of employment in last 3 years.
• SSN and DOB required for submission.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to adult/pediatric patients in a Level I/II trauma, STEMI, and stroke certified facility.
• Triage and emergency response duties including dysrhythmia management.
• Float between units based on facility needs.
• Operate within the Epic EMR system.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for an evening/night variable shift position requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and a compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Emergency Department unit within a short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Variable evening (3x12, 14:00-2:30) and night (3x12, 19:00-7:30) shifts
• Every other weekend required, with possible back-to-back weekends if needed
• Floating between units based on facility needs and possible floating to sister facilities
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Epic EMR experience required
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, may include Charge RNs/Leads
• Full SSN and DOB required for submission

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult/pediatric patient population in a Level I/II trauma, STEMI, and stroke certified facility
• Perform triage and emergency response duties including management of dysrhythmias
• Scrubs provided for ED staff; any color accepted
• No parking fees at this facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius to be eligible for local (lower bill rate) consideration
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront, as post-submission requests may not be granted
• Candidates should not contact facility staff directly except for scheduled interviews arranged through their recruiter
