Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN - Emergency Department in Sparks, NV. The role requires an active NV RN license, 2+ years of ER experience, and a BSN is preferred. Cerner EMR proficiency and multiple certifications are mandatory.

You will work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced ED, with coverage at other locations as needed. Relocation housing allowances and travel reimbursements are offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Active NV RN license required
• Minimum 2 years ER experience in a US hospital
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly desired
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Cerner experience required

Responsibilities

• Treat patients in a fast-paced ED across acuity spectrum
• 12-hour shifts; mid shifts and some day/night coverage; Wed/Thu mid shifts; weekend day shifts
• Willing to cover open shifts at other ED locations as needed
• Manage critical care tasks including medications, arterial lines, mass transfusion, chest tubes
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex needs ensuring safety and quality
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates
• Provide references from recent employers

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Emergency Department with at least 2 years of ER experience and an active NV RN license.

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, within a US hospital setting
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Cerner experience required

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department treating patients across the full acuity spectrum, from urgent care to critical care and trauma
• Mostly mid shifts with ability to cover day or night shifts, 12-hour shifts typically Wednesday/Thursday for mid shifts and weekend day shifts (0645-1915)
• Position is based at a new ED location but candidates must be willing to cover open shifts at other ED locations as needed based on volume and acuity
• Manage critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs to ensure safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
