American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for an Emergency Department role in Kentucky. The position requires 2+ years of ER experience and multiple specialty certifications, with a 3x12 or 4x12 night rotation and every-other-weekend schedules.

A KY license, valid driver’s license, and references are required. Responsibilities include adult and pediatric ED care, cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation, respiratory support, and management of psychiatric cases.

Qualifications

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of current ER experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, and CPI (or Avade).
• Middle name required for consideration.
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address.
• Two professional references required (one Charge or higher, one supervisor).

Responsabilités

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients.
• Night shift rotation of 3x12 and 4x12 hours (19:00-07:30), totaling 84 hours per two-week period.
• Every other weekend required.
• Float within scope of practice.
• Cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition.
• Manage psychiatric patients including acute psychosis, suicidal patients, and violent behavior.
• Perform respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and assisting with intubation.
• Handle orthopedic trauma including splinting.
• Provide IV therapy and phlebotomy.
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation.

• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
• Middle name required for consideration
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address
• Two professional references required (one Charge or higher, one supervisor), both completed within the last year

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Night shift rotation of 3x12 and 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30), totaling 84 hours per two-week period
• Every other weekend required
• Float required within scope of practice
• Cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
• Manages psychiatric patients including acute psychosis, suicidal patients, and violent behavior
• Performs respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and assisting with intubation
• Handles orthopedic trauma including splinting
• Provides IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Administers and monitors procedural sedation
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; medical and religious exemptions considered case by case
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered, must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday for every holiday period
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break from the health system after completing one year of continuous assignments before returning
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
