Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Pinehurst, NC. Licensure must be NC or Compact, with at least 2 years of ER experience and current certifications (ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, NIHSS). Travel nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency are required.

The role involves night shifts (3x12) with a 1:4 patient ratio and exposure to trauma, pediatric and orthopedic cases. Travel stipends, housing assistance, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Treat general adult/pediatric ED patients.
• Handle shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and amputations.
• Pediatric cases incl head injury, near drowning, spinal injuries.
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio.
• Night shifts 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3x12s.
• Provide emergency nursing across trauma, neuro, ortho.
• Lead triage and emergency response in fast-paced ER.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring NC or compact RN license and 2+ years of ER experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, and NIHSS required; TNCC preferred
• 2 years of ER experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with blood product administration and central line care/management
• Experience managing cardiac dysrhythmias and interpreting cardiac monitoring
• Ortho trauma experience required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage
• Arterial line management and BiPAP/CPAP management preferred
• Experience with ICP monitoring preferred

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric populations
• Handles shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Pediatric cases involving head injury, near drowning, and spinal cord injury
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of trauma, pediatric, neurological, and orthopedic cases
• Responsible for triage and emergency response within a fast-paced ER setting
• Facility performs its own pre-employment drug screening upon arrival to assignment in addition to standard credentialing requirements
• Candidates residing in the facility's home county are not eligible for this position
• All other local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former facility employees must have been separated from employment for at least 1 year to be considered
