Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an Emergency Department RN for a 10-week night shift contract in Milford, CT. Requires a CT/compact license and at least 2 years of combined adult/pediatric ER experience.

You’ll work 3x12-hour nights (1900–0730) on a Level II trauma center within Yale New Haven Health System, with EPIC charting and on-site parking. Benefits include high pay with bonuses, day-one health insurance, a housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, and a non-taxed per diem.

Qualifications

• Active CT/compact RN license or ability to obtain one before start.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Minimum 2 years ER nursing experience.
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and cardiac monitoring.
• Central line care, IV starting and maintenance skills.
• Experience with IV vasopressors.

Responsibilities

• Treats mixed adult and pediatric populations in an ED.
• Operates within a Level II Trauma Center in Yale New Haven Health System.
• Works a 10-week contract on a 3x12-hour night schedule (1900–0730).
• May be required to work every other weekend and float as needed.
• Uses EPIC charting for patient records.
• Provide emergency care and participate in cardiac monitoring and emergency responses.

American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a 10-week night shift contract requiring CT/compact license and 2 years of combined adult/pediatric ER experience.

Requirements

• Active or compact RN license (CT) required, or ability to obtain one prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and cardiac monitoring required
• Central line care/management and IV starting/maintenance skills required
• Experience with IV vasopressors required
• Respiratory skills including CPAP/BiPAP management and care of ventilated patients required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department setting treating combined adult and pediatric populations
• Level II Trauma Center within the Yale New Haven Health System
• Short term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
• 10-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0730)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required as needed
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Provide emergency care for a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Participate in cardiac monitoring and emergency response as needed
• Local candidates accepted for this assignment due to radius restriction waiver for the 10-week contract
• No holiday RTO permitted
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed for this assignment
• Must be gone 2 years from previous employment with the health system to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemption only
