American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Vermont. Requirements include a VT or compact RN license and current ED certifications.

The role features a 12-hour night schedule, open 24/7 ED, and about 14,000 visits annually. Preference given to candidates with 2+ years ED experience and travel nursing background, plus active certifications and a valid vehicle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years ED experience in a hospital setting.
• 3 months of travel nursing experience preferred.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Active VT RN license or compact license (compact not accepted by facility)
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment.
• All certifications must be current at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Screen and triage patients to determine severity and treatment.
• Work within a fully staffed ED team in a critical access hospital.
• Night shift; 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Open 24/7 ED serving ~14,000 visits annually.
• Travelers may not request all holidays off; limited RTO accepted.

• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting required

• Skills checklist for Emergency Department current within 1 year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• All certifications must be in hand at time of consideration

Responsibilities

• Critical access hospital Emergency Department open 24/7, serving approximately 14,000 patient visits annually
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if needed
• 13-week assignment length
• Block scheduling not available for this assignment
• Screen and triage patients to determine severity of condition and appropriate course of treatment
• Work within a fully staffed Emergency Department team
• Travelers may not request all holidays off
• Any requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile submission; requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted, with fewer days preferred
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this assignment
• Candidates seeking to work this assignment concurrently with another permanent position or travel assignment will not be considered
