Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Colorado. A CO or compact RN license and multiple specialty certifications are required.

The role features 3x12 hour night shifts (1900-0730) with rotating weekends, and Epic EMR charting. The nurse will perform independent duties per Nursing Board standards and may float or be placed on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license - CO Single State or Compact required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start.
• TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the Emergency Department specialty required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12hr shifts, 1900-0730
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Uses Epic for charting
• May be required to float to other departments based on competency and business need
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including health teaching and counseling
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
