Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a travel assignment in Arizona. The role requires an AZ or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience. Certifications ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC are requested, with trauma facility experience preferred.

Position involves night shifts 3x12 hours (19:00–07:30), with 1:4 patient ratios and orientation every Monday. Housing allowance and travel reimbursements are offered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• AZ or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Active ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required.
• Experience with trauma level I or II facilities preferred.
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and trauma patient populations preferred.
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department with floating between ED and the Clinical Decision Unit (Observation Unit).
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30.
• Patient ratio of 1:4.
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required.
• Orientation held every Monday.
• Holiday coverage required and blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases.
• Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed.

• Orientation is limited to 12 hours for first-time travelers
